Last night we held our new moon online gathering to guide all those who are on this earth, ancestor, intuition remembering path to see each other’s beautiful faces and drop into deep self-listening together.
Now more than ever, we need as many moments as we can cultivate like this, where we stop, silence all the noise, the relenting stream of information, the gazillion ways to plug in, and
DROP INTO OUR HEARTS
into our inner silence
into that tenacious voice of the inner child
that impulse of life that longs to flow through us
our knowing of our place in the web
the medicine and path left by our ancestors
the natural world in us, around us humming with life
the guidance of Spirit/Creator/Love/God
No matter how much all the information sources out there, with fear and control on both extremes, would like to say they have answers, there are no black and white answers…
climate change is making this clear…
covid is making this clear…
our children’s fluctuating needs have always made this clear, if we listen…
Never has the answer been outside of ourselves
We are simply living in times where we are now steeped in so much ‘information’, advertising and technology that we get confused.
The new moon invites us to return within.
In all the ways we work together, we connect within and with each other. Together we return to ancestral wisdom, deep intuition, Source/Creator in ALL, to remember that we have a place in this web AND a place in this moment.
Many like to call it unprecedented. I feel our ancestors have navigated such things and more. It is not beyond us. Our ancestors were adaptable and we are too, if we access our capacity to tune in and engage with all of life, beyond the limited ‘life’ we are offered by colonialism/dominant culture…
Walk with the plants. Drink in the Sun. Reflect underneath the moon. Whisper with the trees. Marvel at the soil and its creatures.
Listen to the child within. What brings her joy, pleasure, delight? Trust that these are your path, a light to guide you.
Keep asking your spiritual guidance what is loving for you, your loved ones, the planet.
The answers are not long view, future oriented like the template of industrial society. You do not need to prove or be anything other than what you are. The answers are more in the moment. What is loving right now? in this moment? in the next?
For today, I am packing up with my children to engage in wilderness skills for the week. My youngest is the reason I sat to write this.
He is eagerly packing his backpack with a fire making kit, knife, rope. I’m grateful he loves these activities because I do as well. I’m grateful that we are learning together as a family. This is where our hearts lead us right now.
I had a moment where I thought, “Wow, he is so into this. Is he going to be a wilderness guide?”
Then I thought about how we have been trained to look toward the future when we see young children pursuing their delight/purpose. Will he be an x,y, or z? Am I preparing him? giving him all the opportunities?
This chronic survival state/competition cultivated in capitalist society becoming ever more irrelevant day by day (thankfully).
From a place of connection in this ever changing moment, none of that matters (or ever really has).
What matters is that we have found our place of love, curiosity and delight for today. We are riding into the unknown, listening to our hearts, and letting the impulse of LIFE/SPIRIT lead us.
As fear and control is stoked in every direction, let’s remember to drop into the silence and wisdom that is ever present to guide us.
